It's Monday the 3rd of November and we've still not turned our heating on.We are sat in the lounge with the sun streaming through the window which we have slightly opened, can't believe it. |

Still avoiding putting the heating on. Wanna stick it to the gas companies how fuck us over year on year by holding off as long as possible. Barely home enough to warrant putting it on anyway. |

Mine has been on for an hour in theb morning when it is chilly or damp, but my building is Tudor, so no insulation here and need to take the real chill off as the only South facing window is in a room I am not using very much
A lot better than last year though, I expect a rebate from SSE! |

Mines on first time today since march. It's been a cold dark day up here today so it's been on an hour. Still just wearing shorts and teeshirt in the house though! |

My heating comes on automatically the temperature drops below a certain degree...haven't a clue what. Think it came on as early as July before himself adjusted it. |

There are times when I really wonder why I live half-way up the shady side of a mountain where the sun doesn't reach the house for half the year - we've already had a hailstorm this week.....
Er, yes, the heating is on - too damn right it's on...!!!

"Mine broken so no no heating here.....worst luck "
Just beware of your condensation when in an enclosed & cold environment (from hot food, hot drinks, as well as your breath).
I went one winter without any heating on (because as I was rarely home: just a short while in various living spaces, & as I live in a house dated 1888 - high ceilings of around 10' & 6") it costs a small fortune to heat up space that even I can't reach!).
A couple of months later I realised that most of my clothes had mildew on / growing.
Just washed everything with a small amount of bleach included on the water.
I'll cordon off some rooms this winter with liberal sachets of 'silica gel' about to absorb the excess moisture. |
