How long does a migraine normally last on average I have never had one before and very rarely get headaches. I have had a bad head now since Saturday afternoon and am starting to get worried ??
I am starting to think I may have to go to the doctor as I have never experienced anything like it.??
Any advice please Mrs d xx |

Away with the fairies (Liverpool to you) |
My mum used to get migraines and she had the pain/sickness for a whole day but she was light sensitive for a couple of days afterwards.
I don't know much about it but I would think two days or more seems worthy of a doctor visit, especially if it has never happened to you before....I hope you feel better soon xxx |

Mine have been known to last a few days. The worst pain and intolerance to light would last a day or so but the pain would still be there for a day or so later. Best get yourself to the doctor to get it checked.
Everyone suffers in different ways and he'll ask the right questions and get you diagnosed properly.
Hope you'll be better soon |

I get migraines at least twice a month. Sometimes they can be half a day others up to three days at a time. I have light sensitivity, slurred speech, vomiting and balance issues. I have to be careful though due to the fact I suffer from strokes. Go to your GP for a proper diagnosis and the right treatment. Sometimes just changing your diet can help. |
