I never knew that! When I dig my faithful old poppy out of the drawer I'll remember that. Should it be 11 o'clock facing outwards or inwards? The woman on the news is wearing hers at 1 o'clock as you look.

Poppies also come in white, and purple I believe, white ones supposedly are for those celebrating peace rather than "the glorification of war" not my words, fuck knows what the purple are!

. I had a debate the other day on Facebook about the White poppy. I was told that because I wear a red poppy I'm glorifying war and the killing of innocent people. Nothing like giving a red rag to a bull, lol I pointed out I wear my red poppy to remember 2 close friends that were killed in the line of duty. But apparently I'm wrong it's there own fault they died they chose the job. Makes me so sad rather than remembering people the 'do gooders' try to change things. I did mention to the guy I found his views very extremeist pretty much like a terrorist but he couldn't see another's point of view.
