Managed to get them both out, phew. Playing conkers or kicking leaves, or some other activity from the 1970s.

Oops.

Mind you, I used to make my living doing fairly high level IT. A couple of weeks ago I was putting together a computer system.

I switched it on to test it and found I couldn't see the NAS drive. Weird, I thought, I know I connected it to the switch.

Then I noticed I had no internet connection.

I hadn't plugged the network cable into the PC itself!

Total head/desk moment!
