Off putting phrases or noises in messages
Jump to: Newest in thread
Does anyone find certain phrases or words in a message immediately off putting?
I get so many messages which consist mainly of "mmmmmm", "hmmmmm" or "ahhhh" None of which translate well in text form and I have this comical image of the sender sat somewhere making a variety of odd noises at their screen as they type.
I can no longer take these messages seriously due to the imagery in my head.
Along with the "awwwwww" messages that often follow a polite decline it's all getting a bit noisey over here. x |

"I hate it when they say 'fuck off you freak and leave me alone' so get's on my nerves. Tut.
Or no, I'm not going to rub in the lotion.
"
That would result in a very cross Funky. There are punishments for not applying the lotion. |

Any text speak in a message is an instant delete. Embrace our great lexicon people!
Oh and the word princess in a profile or username is also extremely offputting to me. |

"With Platinum Membership you can actually send sounds and smells in PM's. "
Judging from the dirtiest verifications thread yesterday I hope this is never brought in for them |

I've found in the past that the more a guy talks about what he'd like to do to me, the more hopelessly ineffective he has actually been at doing it! |

I can't think of any sounds/noises that are immediately off putting in a message.
There are a couple that I would never use myself, nom nom nom being the first one that springs to mind.

I hate hee hee's especially from a man! I am guilty of using Awww's and ahhh's and even Grrrr's! My biggest thing which I try and rein in when conversing on the forums, I use mun and like a lot!
Think I used it lastnight when a guy was messaging me on kik constantly and I was trying to watch wentworth prison, I messaged back saying "I'm trying to watch my programme mun!" |

"One of my regular men calls me dear in messages. He's 19 years younger than me and sounds like an old man "
I can't abide being called dear, especially on here. The only person who ever got away with calling me dear without rebuke was my grandmother!!
Nom nom nom - can't stand it!!! |
