He is my all time sporting hero. The Rumble and the Thriller were amazing fights.
I admired his stance on fighting for civil rights.
That said he was very flawed with some of the stuff he said about fellow black fighters. His views on white people were bizarre as well. YouTube his 1974 interview with Michael Parkinson.... its odd to say the least.
