No, it's not an instruction.
Yodel have just sent me an e-mail to say they'll be delivering a parcel to me today.
The problem with this?
They delivered the parcel 2 hours ago.
Brilliant logistics management and efficiency there!
Still, it could have been worse. They could have been Nodel. |

the short version of the story .... it took them three weeks to deliver a parcel . Everyday they set out to deliver and everday they took the parcel back !!! I spent hours on the phone each day giving detailed instructions. I even offered to go to depot and collect . communication is thier biggest problem xx tabitha xx |

I've never had a delivery to my apartment by Yodel go smoothly, it got so bad at one stage that i had to force Amazon to use another delivery service! Never had any issues with any other company! |

I returned home about 6 weeks ago expecting a parcel. Yodel were apparently delivering it from Groupon according to a text message they sent me. No parcel, no card.
I called them and they said they'd investigate and phone me back. After two days no call so I called them again. They said they had investigated and that the parcel had been delivered. It had been signed for. Since I was at work there was no one home to sign for it so it must have been a neighbour yet they could not tell me who.
I live in a small avenue of 14 houses, two of which are currently empty. I asked all my neighbours. None had taken a delivery for me. Did this impress Yodel? No. They had investigated and it was delivered though they couldn't tell me who had signed for it.
Two days ago I spotted a package in my safe place in the back garden. Now I've been gardening a fair bit and had friends round there too. None of us had seen it. In fact, I had looked for a parcel there weeks before and it was empty.
My suspicion is that the delivery driver did not leave a package, faked a signature which was impossible to read and deliberately failed to leave a card in the hope I would get a new delivery. Basically, I think they were trying to steal it.
Strange how, after making a huge fuss with Groupon who said they'd investigate Yodel, it magically turned up. |
