Currently listening to Steve Hacketts Bay of kings live in Edinburgh.
Not sure what to follow it up with, please help - aiming for acoustic guitar, full on, a kind Joe Bonamassa acoustic guitar album i fancy.

Have you tried any of the latest Robert Plant albums? or "neck and neck", chet atkins and mark knofler. Not quite the same as bonamasa,, I love mountain time! |

Although to be honest the Steve Hackett concert is evolving more towards Dead Can Dance mixed with the south american guitar duet that i can never even begin to spell.
and its really enjoyable, anybody wanting a pleasant listen i would strongly recommend it.

"Hi Clem, i hadnt thought of Robert Plant, have just loaded up the Neck and Neck album - cheers - will see what its like
almost at the end of Steve Hackett
"
Stand out track on neck and neck is "they'll be some changes" if not for the excellent playing then for the banter between the 2 musicians! |

"A similar chilled guitar experience can be found in pink floyd's, "the division bell". Especially the track "marooned". Haunting. "
Marooned is an ace track
The live versions of a new day yesterday by joe bonamassa are great...although im not sure if theres an acoustic version |

im listening to the chet atkins album now - slightly confused - its stated a tad c&w - almost a clint eastwood movie intro
"
There's lots of different styles, chet is from the world of country, but don't let that put you off. Master of the fret board. |

Im usually really open minded what i listen to but you know when you really get into a particular frame of mind and that one just didnt ring right tonight, will bookmark it for future. michael cretu i think once said thats why enigma came into existence - because he knew what he wanted to hear but it didnt exist - perhaps im having one of those moments - need to go pick up the guitar instead of listening to utube.

Well. . Two things . . Look up the film 'crossroads' it's on vimeo i think. Great movie. Final guitar duel is the best thing ever . In the meantime check out black stone cherry . Heavy but really southern. And try soundgarden..just like suicide. . So hypnotic . |

" . Yup. . The band was in the film ' roadhouse' JH played his axe with it on a desk. . As he learned before he could hold one. Blind from aged 3 . Mark Knopfler co wrote that track and sang backing . Like acoustic work ? Try Nuno Bettoncourt's 'midnight express' or maybe stretch yourself and listen to jon williams play austurias. . It'll make you weep at the pure skill involved |
