Oh no it's only 10.30 on a Monday morning. And I've already had 1x 'let's touch base' and 1x 'going forward'

I best start 'thinking outta the box' cos It's gonna be one of those weeks

I've put your suggestion up the flagpole, so we can salute it later.

I used to have a manager who used to say "at the end of the day" a lot.

I used to wind her up by saying, "it's night" at the end.

I've been out of industry since June. During these last few months I have become human again however next week I have two interviews with two large companies. I am intrigued as to what they think of me Because i will be going to both interviews as myself and speaking as I find rather than what I think they want to hear. Should be interesting

We had a presentation last week to our team. My manager was talking about our competitors being 'vertically integrated'. I asked her what it meant and she didnt know.

Corporate jargon is bollox

Hmmmm - and they said romance was dead!

So what's the best intro?

'I saw your profile and ever since I've been dreaming of your soft lips on mine - your fingers caressing my spine and my buttocks - your tongue making me squirm with pleasure!- I need you now!?

Jargon is only useful if everyone understands it. Most of the time it is used to exclude people not in the know or to make the person look as of they know what they are talking about.

As for vertical integration I think it is quite a useful term for the process of acquiring suppliers of key components or distribution outkets for your product to bring that expertise into the organisation, potentially enabling a more effective, efficient and responsive supply chain. It's useless if it pops up like the next catchphrase in bullshit bingo

Apologies - still half asleep! Thought you were talking about messaging on here! - Doh! Please blame half term and the constant chatter of young voices for my lapse in intellect/sanity! Day one so it can only get worse!!

I have a week off. So there is no need to interface at a basic level or get solution focused by pushing the envelope.

Shudder.
