"Leg of lamb
Slit skin. Insert slivers of garlic and rosemary.
Roast with shallots, baby carrots and baby potatoes in oil and balsamic vinegar."
I use whole cloves of garlic to push tinned anchovies into the lamb. Olive oil from the tin used over the surface of the joint. Roasted on the barbecue with fresh rosemary strewn over it. |

I'm a traditionalist. You can't eat a Sunday roast on a Saturday. The clue's in the name!!
Unless:
Family can't be together on the Sunday.
Football/rugby's on on the Sunday.
Then it's acceptable.
But just to change it for the sake of changing it? Heathens!!!!! |

Going off on a bit of a tangent. There is a bar in the Northern Quarter in Manchester that make their own pies. On a Sunday they serve a Sunday lunch pie complete with a gravy filled Yorkshire pudding on top. I still can't decide if it's right or wrong. |
