Have you booked yours?!
I get mine free as I have underlying health problems and am booked in for Saturday.
It's probably a coincidence but since I started having them I've not had any serious colds or anything! |

"sorry i havent got my glasses on and i thought it said blo jobs.
Can you get those on the NHS?
Or even for £12 in Boots?"
i wonder why boots would charge 12 quid for a blow job and the NHS would give them away! |

"Had mine two weeks ago , it was my first. My arm was slightly sore for a couple of days, fine apart from that. "
One year I had three injections at the same time! Flu, swine flu and something else I can't remember! My arms were very sore that year lol |

"I've booked mine. I have a health problem that makes it advisable too.
I couldn't get an appointment with the nurse for 2 weeks though! "
Funny how GP surgeries are so different. Ours were done over 3 Saturdays and all finished now. |

Well you could have one of those too, but not sure it will help with the flu
LOTS of protein! "
So do bacon omelettes. I'll stick with those. |

Not had mine yet but always get them. The more of us that do, the harder it is for flu to take hold in communities.
Also had the pneumonia jab, which may protect for life.
Tesco and other places do flu jabs too. Overseas the chemists sell a range of jabs, including chicken pox.
Free blow jobs at mine. |

Ours had a couple of drop-in clinics but I couldn't get to them.
My surgery is great in terms of staff ability but appointments are getting silly. An appointment with a nurse is at least a 2 week wait and a non-urgent appointment with a GP is a 4 week wait, minimum.
If you need an urgent appointment, you need to phone them at 8.30am and hope all the same day appointments haven't gone by the time you get through. |

I had mine a few weeks ago, had a sore arm for a week or so but it's worth it to protect me from flu. I have it free due to my health and my job.
I still get colds though as it only protects me from certain flu, colds are a different virus. |

I (m) got mine last Saturday. There was a huge queue outside the surgery. I asked politely if it was the queue for Ebola testing and I found myself on my own at the head of the queue. People are strange sometimes; they needed the vaccination I am sure. |

Got mine at the chemist this year, went in to grab a prescription and they offered to do it immediately probably wrong to encourage this sort of back door privatisation of the nhs but a lot easier than making an appointment at the doctors. |

"Never had a flu jab and there wouldn't be much point now anyway as I had the Flu a few weeks ago, lol
You can get flu more than once you know lol"
Yes, but not the same strain though, as your body creates antibodies to fight off the infection. |

Lloyds pharmacy charge £10, I think.
They all set their own prices.
Boots is £12.
I think Co-op pharmacies charge £9. |

You can catch the same strain again. Antibodies make you more resistant but are no guarantee. |

The doctors push it because they get paid more to give a flu jab |

GPs taking on too many patients cos they (GPs) get paid per capita + extra for kids and old folk + extra for things like smear tests, vaccinations and diagnosing dementia. |

"There are many strains of flu and it mutates so I'd encourage you to get a shot.
The more of us who do, potentially we help stop it becoming an epidemic."
If your GP offers you a flu jab, take it. |

Lambs to the slaughter....
And vaccine companies get richer as you overload your bodies with all kinds of crap like aluminium, closely implicated in the increase of Dementia cases
Vaccines have there place, but there is no need for healthy individuals to be vaccinated for minor illness |

Most people I know that have had one, it's because of an underlying condition which makes it important that they try to avoid catching flu or because they are elderly, which again means that catching flu could be fatal. |

South Birmingham waiting for the bf to come back after crimbo |
Had flu jab 14 of the past 15 yrs and the one year I missed it I was flat out for 3wks with the flu, so I daren't miss it.
Although, a couple of days before I had my jab a month ago, my son had a nasty cold which lasted 3wks and I came down with it a week later, still got the sore throat but at least it's only a cold this time.

The aluminium isnt closely implicated, it IS a cause of dementia. I have seen it myself in the paper industry where aluminium salts were thrown around by the gallon. Plenty of people developed dementia symptoms in their late forties and early fifties. |

"Two years in a row ive had and experienced flu symptoms x ill do without this year x "
This is one of the biggest myths about the flu vaccination, that it can cause flu. It cannot, its inactive therefore absolutely cannot cause flu. If people have had symptoms its more than likely a bad cold, seasonal colds are very common, the flu jab does not protect against a cold.
I've already had my jab, didn't had even the slightest heaviness in the arm afterwards. People really should have them. |
