I seem to have been suffering from what I believe is restless leg syndrome for the past 6 weeks. I don't know why. But I can't sleep some nights and I have to keep getting out of bed to do this bizarre ritual of rubbing my legs and jumping up and down on the spot in a failed attempt to stop the annoying pain and agitation.
does anyone know what causes it or how to stop it ?

I used to suffer with it during pregnancy.
Midwife told me to soak feet in a bucket of hot water. As hot as I could stand it.
Also drink tonic water.
It might be an old wives tale, but it did help.
Sorry youre suffering.

I suffer with it occasionally for a few days at a time. I've found that a couple of paracetamol shortly before bedtime solves the problem.
But keep in mind what I said, for me its 'occasionally' you must not use paracetamol as an everyday fix unless a doctor tells you otherwise. |

I've had it off and on for years. I look like an idiot but I tend to spend an hour before bed upside down with my legs in the air and my head hanging off the sofa when it comes on. Only problem once I fall asleep is that it tends to lead to me kicking anyone sharing a bed with me really hard in the shins. |
