I worked for a company that paid for the smokers to have cessation therapy. It was an occupational hazard though (I worked with certain metal salts).

Guess if they value your welfare, you'll appreciate them in the long run. Maybe consider it a good will gesture.

I'd rather my employers pay for enough staff so that we can have breaks rather than pay for those who smoke to have smoking cessation therapy,we'll die of overwork before we die of smoking related diseases

People should be responsible for themselves.

"People should be responsible for themselves. "

i agree. Like smoking and drinking and any other activity that can cause medical problems, the information is out there for people to make informed choices.

It's hard but it can be done. I have lost over half a stone this month simply by not eating obviously sugary things like cake and biscuits and chocolate etc. I did it for stoptober but it's no hardship so am going to continue after, maybe have a small break for Christmas lol

"the nhs is buckling we need reform but im not sure what the answer is ."

Collect the billions owed in avoided tax and invest in the services that desperately need it, including the NHS.

Of course, that would upset the friends and family of our government ministers, which is why they aren't doing it.
