Nothing German (build quality nowadays and dealer network is terrible).

Same!
Mercedes RV's are shockingly low so you loose a far more on re sale plus aftercare not up to scratch.
Audi great car but not as good as BMW for RV's or aftercare... Or cornering! Can't beat a 6 series or the new 4 series coupe for that, although maybe a tad biased

I must have just been lucky then as covered 100k miles in current mercedes c350 in last 2 years and its not missed a heart beat or any dealer issues.... |

Any of baby diesel or hybrids...but amount of miles and time spent in car I prefer to have some good oomph. |
