We love local businesses and support them whenever possible. U never know what wee gems up find in some of them, so yes willing to pay more but not an extortionate amount more.

We can't afford to be that loyal, but we would try for sure.

I would say I can get it cheaper elsewhere and see if they can compare

In the last 12 months, we have been renovating our home. New boiler, new electrics, new doors and windows. Spent about £20k and only used local tradesmen

Might be you're getting something extra or better for that money? I would ask why it's more expensive.

it's a set of Golf clubs, same spec same everything except the price, wouldn't mind the original price when I enquired was about £20 more and I was happy enough to get them at that premium now it's suddenly £120 more

I have my own business and I'm always competing with the big branded, well known companies.

I'm actually cheaper and supply a higher standard of product but it's a nightmare when these big companies have the monopoly and are so well known

I always buy my golf clubs off my golf club then if I have any problems they sort it out, I know I could buy them cheaper on line.

I buy all my tees and gloves and balls on line and shoes as my local club has stopped doing footjoys

Bedworth

We often try to.....when we wanted a new front door we asked a local guy for a quote. Took him three weeks to get back to us and then he quoted for something totally different to what we'd asked

In the end we went with a company that my other half delivers to
