MAMOBA, miles and miles of bugger all (Aberdeenshire) |
At my pre-op appointment the other day, I got told I was the most positive, upbeat person she had ever met, and that it is unusual for someone to be so smiley, happy and polite...
So am I weird?
Where do you fall, cheerful optimist or gloomy pessimist or somewhere in between? |

It's all you can do...life can be absolute crap, you just can't let it get to you...you'd end up depressed.
You got to put on your best smile and grab the day and choke every bit of happiness you can from it |

I'd say i'm a realistic optimist. I treat things with a smile and take a lot of stuff in good humour and always think the best of people. However I am realistic about things, just that if the realistic truth is things aren't too good, then I try my best to take a positive attitude to try and fix them. |

Glass is half empty and full. And it also depends if it started full or empty. Best to expect and want good things , but be aware of the chances that things can turn to shit. . And have a plan in place for if they do. Expecting the worse and being cynical has never been a trait of anyone who has been truly happy |

Not really, but if you could find a way to bottle all that sunshine, you'd be onto a winner! |

Realist, I have a very positive outlook on life. I am very fortunate that my life is a very good one, I am very happy with my lot and feel content with things.
I have owned by life and my happiness, I do not rely on others to influence me, I cut all negativity from my close circle of people. That is a learned behaviour. |

I'm definitely a positive person, I wouldn't say an optimist. More like a realist. Things are what they are, if you moan and wine, things are still what they are. If you don't like it then you have to make it change by doing something positive.
Plus... how ever bad things seem, there are always people worse off than me. "It could always be worse".

Im a realist and work on facts.. My ex who was an optimist thought i was always negative but that's not the case.. He just saw the world through rose colour glasses and was oblivious to what really goes on in life.. I am an up beat happy person but i am without a doubt living in reality! |

All 3 facets on different days.
Optimist in the morning.
Pessimistic before dinner.
Realist? Not sure that really exists, as reality is subjective, but yeah, sometimes... |

Depends on the situation.
Overall in life very positive
When it comes to my football team on Twitter & in Forums I'd say I'm a realist but others would say I'm a pessimist! |

I think it depends on how you look at things too:
The lonely guy on the beach with only his dogs for company.
The happy guy that loves walking on the beach with his dogs.
Hope that makes sense. x |

Pragmatic. I prefer to deal with what is rather than what might be.
So I suppose that makes me a little more on the pessimistic side.
But hey, at least I'm never disappointed by things! |

thank you someone said the word i was going to use.. pragmatic....
you dont have to be full on realist... or full on dreaming....
nothing wrong with having a healthy dose and cynicism and sarcasm... and know that not everything will go right... or will go wrong...... |
