Just wondering what people prefer.

Local meets for convenience or does the effort of having to travel add to the excitement for you?

Both. Not too close that it's the same town. Not too far as time is precious.

What would be the furthest distance for you?

Not that I'm hinting for you to jump in the car

What she said. At least until I get my prototype teleporter made out of toilet roll tubes working.

I often do a 7 hour round trip to meet someone. The furthest I'd travel for anyone else would be an hour.

I'm still slowly replacing all the cardboard tubes, glitter and pipecleaners Funky has used to build the Time-machine with genuine parts from the Chrononautical Supply Depot on Gilesse III.

It's taking me bloody years ...

All depends who it is, my mode of transport and how much notice I have. The best thing about someone local who picks me up is we can be in bed within the hour

Depending on who it is, up to 90 minutes or so each way.

Or probably even more for really special peeps!

Wouldn't meet anyone too local to me. I'd travel up to an hour though when I was on here in 2011 after a month of talking, picture exchanges, long talks on the phone and web cam I went all the way up north, 6 hours on a train for what was supposed to be a one off meet but ended up seeing him for 18 months, then he said he was gonna move down here and that's when I realised I didn't really like him I just liked going on the train with a picnic!

Travel is a needs must here as nobody out here to meet and an hour from nearest city or 25 mins from nearest large town certainly would not meet anybody from the closest village all would know with in 24 hours lol

We prefer to travel, don't really want to meet local people in our area, and it's always nice to go somewhere different

I'm of the same thinking as most it seems.

I'd be happy to drive or jump on a train for a fair bit if it was to see someone special.

I'd consider anywhere in the uk if it was for a full weekend and there was a really good connection between us

Has to be convenience for me, just because I gave kids so have to be around at certain times for them. Lucky there are hundreds of local people nearby.

Would love to travel round the country as well though. Maybe in a few years I will.

Cannock

I don't mind either local or travelling. I live in the midlands so lots of people local to me to meet here. Midlands is also a good location in the country to travel from, with most places only a few hours drive away, i went upto scotland for a meet last weekend.

During the week, local, weekends I can travel, this is purely down to having to rely on public transport and my job.

Traveling on a crappy rainy night isn't exciting Its more on the lines that some people are just worth traveling for.
