Disgusting, I saw a program on channel 4 about a guy who set up fake profiles and got men to come and meet but set them up.. At the end of the show it said what happened to them all.. One of them killed his self.
Was called "The pedophile hunter" if you want to give it a watch. |

They could prosecute a hundred down ladders and change nothing find the guy making the videos and they can save the child from that hell.

Both are worth the time. After all if you get all the people downloading and _iewing there would be less point in the supplier supplying them. Like everything else its supply and demand. Every abuser, be they infront or behind a camera or downloading the finished filth should be equally treated as sick scum. |

Maybe all parents should have a tax added to police their children? , or all men should be castrated unless they can prove they only have an interest in adults...a minefield there.
Am sure the police DO NOT have the resources to monitor this and all the other problems we face as a society.

Right but they don't have that much time available if you want to start a petition to massively increase funding to the police for so ease the load sure.
But equally to go after down loaders effectively they're gonna need a drag net approach so you personally are going to have to give up a lot of your existing personal and civil liberties.
Also u like drugs abusers are gonna abuse as they don't just do it for money but pleasure and they can always sell elsewhere outsid e the uk.
If you got 100 hours to spend it's better that 100 of them go for trying to find the children being abused then pick up the people who paid afterwards than waiting half of them going after the down loaders and thus increasing the time that child is at risk. |

The bloke who fronted a group of 'ped hunters' was in it for the glory.
He was an ex con who elevated his own status by finding people he could look down on.
He was self appointed and didn't save children or educate abusers.

The peado hunter does more harm than good, yes a few got prosecuted but some get away with it because he puts the profiles on 18 plus websites like this one,
As for the police it is hard anything they do is wrong, if they put more money in to catching downloader's someone would complain they need to do more about the people making the images, the fact is they only have a certain amount of money and it has to be spent wisely |

Because Anyone with an internet connection can _iew them, from any hotspot even hack into your router and _iew them, so would like to be blamed for something you really didn't do? It's harder for people to pinpoint a location of someone accessing these type of images, a lot of people use proxies...not just one or two but maybe 5 +, but it's easier to catch the hosts and makers of the content with honeypot sites. |

This is a chicken and egg situation and I regret the perversion came first as it existed long before photographs were available.
Purchasing the photographs may fund and encourage the perpetrators but we will not stop it by stopping people looking.

There's a big difference between someone who has those urges and never acts on them, and someone who does act on them.
It'd be good if we could find a way to encourage those with those feelings to come forward and get therapy or medical help to prevent them abusing in the first place. Unfortunately this would be very hard to do as it's obviously an emotional issue. |

I also seem to remember how in other countries known offenders are chemically castrated, which is very effective.

I think people misunderstand exactly why and how it's possible for 'images' to end up on your computer WITHOUT your knowledge.
SOme of course know exactly what they're doing but you might want to know it's not downloading but MAKING an image in legal terms.
Think how much detritus remains from _iewing legal porn or any web traffic on your computer right now - you've no idea it's there - but if any are on the copine scale you've committed an offence of making an image - just like that.

Knowingly had sex with a minor yet nothing done about it... very strange.
Don Johnson dated Melanie griffith when she was 14 ... He was 22
Wyman was in his forties and it seems very few people have an opinion about the on here or anywhere else for that matter.

I'd love to know what happened with underage groupies and rock stars like Led Zepp etc |
