"I suddenly feel rather horrid and can only think it's down to drinking too much yesterday. Are you talking about emotional downs rather than physical ones?"

I can't say that I have to be fair, but I am notoriously known within my group of friends for not suffering from hangovers. In fact i usually rise from my slumber a lot earlier after a night on the rum than when I do after a quiet night in front of the tv. Go figure that one out |

Mind you I'm not looking forward to a phone call with someone over the next few days. It difficult to be properly supportive when you don't feel great yourself. |

But I feel a certain responsibility because it's the partner of someone who has just been signed off work with depression. Never happened to them before, but they've had a shit year and one of their problems is down to some horrid news I told them last year.
I've read lots of the threads on karma etc, but sometimes life is genuinely just poo and bad things happen to nice people, whereas I've seen some nasty people get off Scott free. |

"You will do as alcohol is a suppressant so you can feel the effects for a few days after a heavy session
Is that the voice of experience "
Nope I spent many years working with those with alcohol dependencies...often they suffered with a dual diganosis |

A person who suffers with a substance misuse issue and a mental health issues often it's hard to treat as one of the diagnosis is usually cause for the other diagnosis. It's difficult to manage and treat. |

Isn't alcohol a bit different though? As it's socially and legally acceptable. Just a line which is crossed from having a few drinks to it being substance abuse ? Thanks by the way cheeky x |
