I think its best to assume that everyone on here has some sort of 'baggage' for want of a better word. most people are of an age when they must (I know, I know, not necessarily) had some sort of relationship. Having said that, I don't agree that anybody should have to lie about who or what they are, and sometimes the truth may prevent a meet, but that is the case in every potential relationship, be it brief, on here, or long term

Aye, but given that there are sufficient randy fellas on here, it's easier for women on here to admit they are fooling around. Blokes in the same position are more likely to be ignored, hence the number of them that are 'economical with the truth'.

Personally I don't see the point in lying, at the end of the day each to their own and I guess just because I don't feel the need to lie I shouldn't expect other to do the same...... I did find it rather amusing though

Yes I do that too after meeting a liar here who really had me fooled and now I find it hard to trust what people say , Its sad but true and I know people are different but when you don't know people well in this cyber land they can be who ever and say what ever.

I am may be saying the wrong thing here, but do some women hide behind what is said to them and take it as the truth, because it is what they have been told, assuming that it is the man who is lying of course. "Well he told me he was single!!"

a few women do this too...

its fairly easy to sort out who's attached in most cases I would say...before it even has to get to one of those bumping into the spouse accidental things.

not being rude OP, but there are some more easily gullible people out there...probably just as much as there are 'devious toads' lol

I keep saying it, but the number of single, handsome, charming, articulate, fit, toned, well endowed, well presented guys here particularly around the 30 to 50 age group is surprising.

I'd have thought they were absolutely prime husband or boyfriend material at that age and with those qualities. Really surprising that so many like that are single.

Obviously there will be people that genuinely fit that category and are genuinely single for very valid reasons (through choice or circumstance) I'm not denying that.

I prefer to be up front in my profile so people can make an informed choice about meeting.

Not rude at all......I agree there are easily gullible people out there to but what annoyed me was the fact I'd been to 'his' house...which obviously wasn't, sort of makes me wary of future meets!

There are lots of people on here who are deceiving their other halves, which is entirely up to them; what they shouldn't do is continue that on here, as somebody said earlier, be truthful about what you are doing and let your potential meet make thee decision on whether they want to meet you

If someone lies to get whatever they want in life.... Why take it to heart?

It's their lies and their life! No need to trouble yourself if you've done nothing wrong. If you believe some part if your innocence got stolen in the process just check your still breathing and your hearts still pumping and im sure you'll be fine.

Don't worry about small things! xx

But he lied to her in order to get her to have sex with him...is she supposed to feel nothing at all about that? It does involve her.

I know that people lie to each other in order to get what they want all the time but once you've involved someone else in your lie it doesn't just involve the liar in my opinion. "

People do bad things to others! Your probably never going to be able to stop other people from doing that! Though you can learn from bad experience's so to not put your self in that position again.

However, when bad things do happen to you. YOU can change the way you think, feel and react towards them. Life is full of making mountains out of molehills. Just be mindful of what your doing to YOURSELF. What others do you have no control over.

All u was saying!!! Sorry if I pissed you

You have to apply a lot of salt to many things on here. Compliments, measurements and especially verifications (which lately seem to be getting more and more ridiculous, gushing and descriptive!)

"If someone lies to get whatever they want in life.... Why take it to heart?

It's their lies and their life! No need to trouble yourself if you've done nothing wrong. If you believe some part if your innocence got stolen in the process just check your still breathing and your hearts still pumping and im sure you'll be fine.

Don't worry about small things! xx

I'm not taking it to heart and I've no innocence to steal, just annoyed me at the dishonesty of it all

My point was there's no need to feel annoyed or indeed feel anything at all.

His intentions.....not yours!

You didn't piss me. I'm just putting my _iew forward, its not the same as yours that's all.

I understand the theory behind what you're saying but I don't subscribe to the theory that in order to be happy we have to change how we react to people all the time. I know that sometimes its necessary but I think in some cases it just give others an excuse to carry on behaving badly.

God ain't that the truth.

I've read a set of verifications recently that are so glowing in their praise of other people we feel we couldn't possibly live up to them.

I read one earlier that actually made me laugh out loud. And not want to meet that person because it was so over the top he has either made a fake profile and written it himself or should at the very least have been embarrassed by it!
