You do wonder why those taking pics don't notice what's in the background before uploading them sometimes!

Always! Pics say a lot about people.
My virtual mentor was obi, I learnt a lot from his pics, just wish I could take them as well as he and fox do.
It just makes sense not to have a pic taken with a pigsty in the background......or, gaping shots (which I detest) with dirty nails - yes they're out there!! |

Yes.
I patricularly like looking at peoples toilets and what brand of shampoo they use. Which way they hang their loo roll is also important - it's actually a deal breaker for me.
Other favourites include piles of dirty clothes, puzzled looking pets, chintzy curtains and family portraits staring down at all the naked flesh on view.
Lego is a winner though. You're in if you've got Lego. |

I disagree, a filthy looking bed, crockery all over the place and a mountain of washing on the floor is simply unhygienic. Pics are your shop window as a wise man once told me! |

I agree it's a shop window and do enjoy lurking around and seeing what's going on in the background
Obviously nobody lives in a showhome all the time and there will always be times more chaotic than others (especially with kids around the house) but those that show pics with their homes looking like there's been a car crash do make me smile and (rightly or wrongly - probably wrongly!) it is easy to make judgments based on what you see |

We're not that good!!
Backgrounds can easily be managed simply by cropping, framing and a simple tidy up.
And if you see something you've missed - edit it before you click upload! Several of ours had things like photos on the wall, a coffee mug/drink sneaking into the corner, a pair of shoes we'd forgotten to move - a simple fix just by airbrushing out of the final image.
We always edit to remove our ink (too individual to be unidentifiable!) anyway - so we probably check ours more closely than some before submitting, but why would you not want to make a pic you post look it's best?

Yes the background is sometimes more revealing than the foreground.
Things I have seen that cannot be un seen:
- unflushed toilet
- skanky torn settee
- brown stain on duvet
- Dale Winton autobiography on dressing table
- dodgy porn in reflection of glasses
- soiled underwear on floor
All valuable indicators I feel. |

Walls covered in ZOO posters put me right off. Adult men shouldn't have tit posters on their walls. Also, rooms wallpapered in football colours. Again, grown men should not have Celtic/Rangers wallpaper and duvet sets. |

"After seeing some shockers on here, I decided to do mine with a blank wall behind me. Safer that way!"
We go one stage further and take ours outside. We're not really daring, just messy as f##k!!

I always blur mine out a bit, usually just to hide the dodgy 70s wallpaper rather than to make them look artistic...
I've seen SO many cock pics with toilet bowl in the background. Or the ones where you can see their pants round their ankles |

I get them forensically analysed. The last one had crabs in the bed, so asked them to change the sheets. I wouldn't visit someone who'd be decluttered on obsessive compulsive cleaners tv show either. |

I should warn you all. There are sites that host and critique photos taken from sex sites. Some of the comments are hilarious.
Style, decor, mess, the people and all is fair game for them to be mercilessly ripped to shreds.

We find it says a lot about the people or person in the photo..... Not going to meet anyone with mucky nails with their clocks out hanging over a piss stained toilet that has the last persons Shit still sliding down it..... Creative photos or well thought out non blurry ones get our attention |
