ok ive had enough....

this week has been a nightmare ... monday. the dryer part of my washer dryer stoped drying.. possible cost to repair..£98.

next it was the turn of the 50' plasma.. just out of manufactures warannty,,, covered we thought by extended one... only to find the company has now gone in to recivership so its null and void... cost to have it looked at.. before a repair... £100.

now just got a letter from HP to say the battery in my lap top is dodgy and needs to be replaced.. ok no cost there.. but it could of burn the house down ( risk of fire occording to HP)

now the bloody kettle switch isnt working... dear GOD.. what next... my favorite vibrater blowing up.... it dosen't bare thinking about..

Never mind with the speed new gadgets are released you'll probably be able to get a 50" TV that dries your washing too by next week.

How old is the plasma... Sale of goods act says that an item should last a reasonable time.... Buy a cheap plasma and that reasonable time would be shorter than if you bought a quality make at a high cost.

Is the TV on finance? That can also help as the finance company own it and you can get them to fight for it to be fixed.

Don't think I've ever heard of a plasma failing yet.

O o O oo

Thats the second plasma I have heard this week that has failed after just going out of warranty.

Happily the other persons was from Sony, he rang them up and they have sent him to a place not far from his home to get it fixed, free of charge.

They should be covered as part of "fit for purpose " anyway, as they should last longer than just over a year.

To the OP. I would try the manufacturer if the person you bought it from has gone under.

to the OP.

As you are no doubt aware many people have the wrong type of water and it damages washing machines and dishwashers etc, you may also have the wrong type of electrickery.

sadly we made the mistake of paying for it in one go.. silly me... lol £1200.00 panasonic will cover the cost of repair.. if it is a fault !!. and not something we have done.. but first we have to pay someone to collect it and do an estemte of repair.. company asked if we could bring it to them... um took two big blokes to bring it up the steps when they delivered it and took 4 of us to get it on the wall..all of us praying and holding our breath. lol
