Keyboardist for Jack White and has played for Reel Big Fish amongst others. Only died this week while on tour in Mexico. Very sad.

There are a ton of musicians to choose from... but Marley would be my choice too.

He represented something better.

Freddie was awesome!. His vocal ability was second to none, plus he has charisma.

I watched a documentary on him and apparently he was so charming and charismatic that he could charm the pants off the straightest of men!

Some great names in this list, Hendrix and Cobain because they only recorded a few albums each, the World missed out on some great music to come there.

What about Otis Redding though? and Sam Cook. So much more to come from those two as well.

Defo Freddie Mercury, a lot of great artist have past! But Freddie was a true genius with a range to inspire most people! On of the last great performers! I would even place him well above Michael Jackson and Kurt Cobain, I find Nirvana some what over hyped and struggle to believe they would achieve the fame they have, had Kurt not commited suicide!

Everyone is entitled to an opinion but Nevermind and In Utero were number one albums and Nirvana were one of the biggest bands in the world all before Cobain died. You can't ignore facts.
