Well this one is probably more for the ladies but all are welcome to comment.
Whats the weirdest cravings you got during pregnancy? Or what weird ones yave people youve known had?
My first pregnancy with my twins i had no weird ones i just apples and ate 20-30 a day and drank dr pepper likecit was going out of fashion! so far this pregnancy nothing as of yet. My sister however as been pregnant 4 times and had some very strange ones; With her first it was pickled gherkins with raspberry ripple icecream, her second it was ice cubes, her third was coal! And her forth was just salt she ate it in spoonfuls |

they say your body craves what it needs which is a bit scary reading some of these - with my first it was oranges and marmite - used to have the huge jar on my desk at work and simply dip my finger in (pig) - nothing at all with the second |

My aunt was coal, my best mate's Mum was washing powder, specifically Daz or Persil. One friend's was the smell of soap, so bad that by the end of her pregnancy she was sleeping with a soapy sponge in her mouth and my other friend was pickled gherkins dipped in Milky Bar chocolate spread. Not had the pleasure myself yet lol |

A seaside town near you! |
My friend used to lick soap! It had to be Imperial Leather and if she was out for the day she'd scrape her teeth across the bar of soap so she had some behind her top teeth then she could taste it all day! Eeeeeew! |

Jalapeño's, I have no idea why but I could sit & eat a bowl of them, my friends dreaded going out with me. Whatever I ordered had to have a side order of them.
Lucky the poor kids didn't come out pickled!

With our first it was Marathon Chocolate bars, dead easy I just kept loads in the fridge.
Second was fresh milk and cream cakes.
Do you know how hard it was in 1985 to find fresh cream cakes at 3am.
12 miles up the motorway to the services, only to find her fast asleep when I got home.

My first was curry sauce. Hated it before I was pregnant but couldnt get enough during! Also the smell of Flash cleaning products. I was like an OCD crazed woman the whole time, cleaning absolutely everything so I could have the smell around me lol
Second it was toothpaste lol I didnt swallow it, just brushed my teeth about 8 times a day. Pretty weird.
Third was salt & vinegar pringles.
A friend of mine had a craving to chew sponges when she was pregnant. She would have one in her bag at all times and rip off bits to chew.

Fishcakes (had to be from the chippy), omelette (which I despise) and the thing I never gave into was peanut butter with cheese on toast, I just couldn't bring myself to do it x |

First was lemons (even the rind ) and calyppo's - orange or lemon. Second and third I had aversions more than cravings. Beetroot was guaranteed to make me gag, despite Hunter repeatedly trying to persuade me to eat it as it's a superfood |

With my first, anything sweet. My favourite was raspberry laces. Real mouth watering stuff.
My second, all things savoury. Chopped up pork pie, covered in brown sauce, slapped in a sandwich was one midnight feast I regularly enjoyed. X |

When my Mum was expecting my sister it was raspberry Fanta by the gallon and spearmint polo's. I was 12 at the time and used to have to run like blazes to catch out corner shop before it shit to keep her going all night. It got so bad that they'd wait open 5 or 10 mins to make sure I wasn't gonna come flying in at the last minute and the Fanta was a limited edition thing so they ended up ordering it by the box load to make sure they had it. (I miss a good old fashioned family run sweet shop like that!)
The other thing was pizza, before she was pregnant she couldn't stand the smell, during she practically lived on cheese pizza. And she never went off it either, still eats at least one a week. |

I craved satsuma's by the net and stout with one of mine. I could only buy one tin a day as if I bought more I would have just drank the lot. I think that's the only thing I really enjoyed, everything else I cooked alway made my stomach turn and i couldn't eat it.
