Had no petrol, forgot to fill up the day before then went out and left wallet at mates so couldn't get fuel until his mate had come over with his wallet but his mate was hungover so didn't want him to drive. He couldn't text to say he couldn't make it as his phone had died and his charger was in his flatmates room and he'd gone out and locked it!! Shame he never showed as if he was as imaginative in bed as he was with his excuses he'd have been one hell of a shag!!!

Had one blew out last week (one days motice) because of "Mother Nature". (Genuine - I pretty much know her cycle and we ra-arranged for tomorrow). I then arranged another meet which blew out on the Friday morning....timing is a bugger...but serving her this Monday.

Can keep folk posted if anyone wants to know!

My fave was the guy who text me to say he was sorry but he was going to have to rearrange our meet as he was meeting someone else now

10 out of 10 for honesty the only thing that pissed me off was he text me that while I was stood waiting for him I'm sure he could have sent it an hour earlier before I left home

I agree on the honesty, but sometimes being honest is not the best policy, that would have pissed me right off x

I've never had any really good excuses, but I've nearly lost of count of the number of seriously ill relatives that seem to need hastily driving to hospital or similar. I hate that as an excuse because you can't really challenge it in case it turned out to be true...

However any excuse is better than the no-show block and blank treatment which makes my blood boil.

We had a guy due at ours at 8pm. 8.45pm we had a text "Just realised its about an hours drive from me to you, Ill be there about 10pm is that ok?" No it isnt goodbye lol. He was online right up to sending the text so had made no attempt whatsoever to arrive ontime. When we said no he claimed he didnt know we had set a time despite at least 3 messages in our conversation stating the time

Only ever had one actual excuse, but it was a genuine reason and we rescheduled for the following evening.

As the people in question are people whom I have met on a couple of previous occasions and whom I consider friends, it really wasn't a problem.

Other times meets haven't happened have been simple no-shows

Over the years I have had 2 no shows, but I had an inkling about a week before each one, as they both just went silent on me.

Both then came back a few months later thinking I would have forgotten all about it.

When challenged they both said it was due to money and they were to embarrassed to admit they couldn't afford to travel

LONDON (se)

A few years ago I had to cancel a date as there was an accident right outside my house and police had blocked the road and pavement so I couldn't leave either in my car or to walk and get transport. Was a few hours before people could go past and a few more until the road was open again

I've actually had to cancel a meet last moment because my daughter did turn up to stay with me after school instead of going to her dads. So you never know it could have been true
