There isn't a cure, (or wasn't last time I checked, and I admit I've not been keeping up with the story). All that can be done is to treat the symptoms and let the body deal with the virus (with the help of anti-viral meds). It requires intensive care, really intensive care and containment to prevent all those around from being infected.
There are simply too many infected in Africa, with extremely limited treatment facilities, which makes 'curing' people difficult.
Successfully treating one or two people with the facilities available in the US or the UK is feasible. Successfully treating hundreds in Africa, not so much.
If hundreds of infected people suddenly turned up in the UK or US, we'd be highly unlikely to be able to contain the disease or cure many of those with it. |

We Have Got to Start Thinking and Sharing Information Globally Because They Do Not Give the True Perspective of the People Who Live Here in West Africa. They Are Lying for Their Own Benefit and There Aren't Enough Voices Out There With a Platform to Help Share Our Reality. Hundreds of Thousands Have Been Killed, Paralyzed and Disabled By These and Other "New" Vaccines All Over the World and We Are Finally Becoming Aware of It. If the mainstream media did its job, many conspiracy theories could be put to rest. But the media serve as shields for the government, instead of investigating, and then act very surprised when the truth comes out years later.
D notices are common practice when it comes to media blackouts.

Well I don't believe all I read ( where ever it from) conspiricy theories are often there, as its human nature to have someone/ something to blame for stuff.
I tend to listen to those who have families and live nearer the Ebola outbreak than we are. ( Am in touch with people who are) For them its real! Maybe time, energy could focus more on saving lives, stopping the spread/ containing it. With as much time n effort spent on who to blame .. blah blah blah. ... Life is strange at times for sure! Worrying times for those in the thick of it... Right now! My thoughts are with those and lets just hope we ourselves don't have to cope with such things. For many its ok , long as its in someone eleses back yard  |

Fear causes conspiracy theories. We all have reason to be fearful as viruses like Ebola have the power to destroy us even in the western world. What is shameful is the lack of urgency in the response because it isn't here yet. |
