I see our chancellor gidiot Osborne is now proposing to make those receiving in work benefits pay £5 a week before they can receive Thier benefits . So those who are already struggling on low wages that are suppressed by this govenment are to be forced to struggle even more by this tax . Isn't this what we already pay national insurance for gidiot? And one wonders how much it will cost to set up and administer ( probably ineptly) this scheme with it being almost certainly being contracted out to one of his cronies company's . Remember folks "were in it together " |

The vast majority of the decision making Cabinet are Eton educated and already wealthy so they have no qualms about making the poor poorer and, as has been shown through tax cuts, making the wealthy wealthier. |

"Let's just ignore the latest economic and employment figures....
The real ones or the ones they are claiming?"
How very cynical.
However you look at it we're in a far better position now than we were when the last shower of shites were in the driving seat... |

Sorry, can't agree with that.
I do think the last shower were just as greedy and self-interested though.
Our main political parties are now fundamentally the same save for the different colour rosettes. |

"As for cynical, yes, but in this case it's experience, not cynicism.
Politicians all lie and massage figures for their own benefit. It's like their official sport."
History shows that Labour always leave office with unemployment at higher levels than when they gain office.
They sold us up the river and seem intent on doing it again if they come to power at the next election. At least this government has the balls to make the tough decisions necessary to dig us out of the hole. Definitely not a popular thing but it's had a positive effect on the economy and employment. |

...and yet we have lost so much to 'gain a better position' - and we still have more to lose to ensure a firm foothold so we don't slide back.

It depends on exactly which figures you mean and whose figures.
However, just by looking at the average high street or the economic situation of an ordinary person it is clear this country is not in a better position than when the last government were in.
They can claim what they like on paper but the reality, other than for the wealthy few, is clearly evident. |

They aren't making tough decisions. They are lining their own pockets and those of their mates at the expense of everyone else.
And they're telling us we're all in it together!
How many people have had a 10 or 11% pay rise recently, on top of bloated expense accounts? |

Who put the high street in that situation in the first place though?
The wheels were set in motion well before this government took office.... |

I won't deny that, it's one of several shortcomings they have but no different to any politicians. |

And this government have continued to take for themselves, further crippling the economy as they've done so.
Nothing is in a better state than when they stole power (they weren't elected and they changed the rules to allow them to stay) other than the bank accounts and portfolios of the wealthy. |

How they must laugh as they are putting their underwear on expenses, eating £39 breakfasts and swilling Moët by the bucketful, all paid for with public funds.
If they got performance related pay, they'd owe us! |

The HuffPo had a good article yesterday.
It showed that since 2008, salaries have decreased by £5000 in real terms and that inflation has overtaken salary increases every year since then.
Only the top 10% of earners are better off since 2008.
So for all the talk of jobs and an improving economy, a majority of normal working people just aren't feeling it. |

It is easier to take £5 from 15,000,000 PAYE employees than £45,000,000 from 1,500 company owners. Hence the new tax.
As for the last "shower" who left us in this position, least we forget, it was a "world wide financial crisis" and the UK were the world bankers; we were bound to be adversely affected.
We do however seem to be crawling out of the pit just now so more pain is to be expected even if it is not felt by the millionaire leaders of the leading political parties. |

unemployment figures - these are all seasonally adjusted down whatever the season, we dont count unemployed who are suspended up to a third of a million at any one time, we dont count those on back to work schemes in fact they cost us moreas these fatcat schemes dont help most people into work and they are paid £50 a week to keep people off the numbers
jobcenters most inappropriate name ,no telephones to ring for jobs no computers for the unemployed as all jobs are online, if your their to long the police are called by security even people ejected for crying and that's grown men , no toilets and anybody can be suspended for no reason ,you can smell the fear when you go in , oh and the disabled helpers are frowned upon
and the goverments anti slavery campaign whilst promoting work fare which is forcable slave labour with almost no hope of a jon just treated like scum doimg real jobs for less than the minimum wage
all this while the mps get a 10% pay increase on top of 10% last year |

Politicians are all lying cheating scum and nothing but fraudsters.
They shouldn't get travel expenses as your average joe pays their own from their salary. They shouldn't be entiled to a second home if they can travel to London within and hour. Just like most people that work in london. They shouldn't get such high food expenses when business lunches can be done at a less plush and extravagant place. They shouldn't get holiday expenses as we all have to save to go on our holidays. They shouldn't get an expense for decorating their properties either.
If all these and other expenses were cut we would be in a much better state of affairs. Nurses could get paid what they deserve and not be in shortage. I think they should of been on strike for fair pay a lit longer |
