does anyone else get a little bit of satisfaction when you look at your block list and notice that its either getting smaller due to blocked people leaving, or that profiles that you have blocked have not been on for ages? |

Ive seen people on the forums excitedly tell posters 'Your blocked now thank you' etc.
You will still continue to see their opinions (hang on, they were probably talking to me!)
I used to block then realised I still see their status's so thats when I stopped.
Its pointless, other than they can't inbox you. |

I don't understand that either! On every other site i know if you block someone, you can't see their forum posts and they can't see yours. Can't be bothered with the guys i've blocked trying to chat to me in the forums. I love the block button. If there wasn't one there would be a lot less single women on here! |

yes maybe the forum threads would become confusing, it still makes a block a bit pointless though.
I know on other sites if there was a block, you could not see each others posts.
I guess it stops them looking on your profile ect though, and yes there would be no woman lol

Which generally means our 'permanent filter' is being applied to the right profiles.

that^^ made us count ours, only 25 on ours, 4 of which are long inactive and 2 are couples that we know, so much for the 'extensive' dig that someone assumed |

I couldn't possibly count my block list. It takes several minutes to load the page it's so long. But then i block anyone who was cheeky or fake and anyone who messaged me that i wasn't interested in. Saves them messaging again in a week to ask the same question and get the same answer. |

Depends what they're blocked for. If it's for being twats, rude or abusive, possibly. I can see where you are coming from then.
If it's just because they don't meet your profile requirements (single guy, outside age ranges etc - which many people do block people for) then I wouldn't want to celebrate them leaving just because they didn't meet my criteria. I would hope everyone respectful could find some fun on this site. |

Depends what they're blocked for. If it's for being twats, rude or abusive, possibly. I can see where you are coming from then.

I've got a lot on mine.
A lot of homophobic profiles - the ones with lots of block capitals. People who have shown themselves to be total bananas. People who message me repeatedly to ask what I'm doing at that precise moment. Also people who send me totally stupid messages.
I'd rather not have to block people, but sometimes it is kinder and easier than having to explain something to the nth degree.  |

not really mate, fabs not the be all and end all and in all honesty its very apparent that compassion and decency stops when a few log in?? Its an open forum and we expect varied responses but what we talk about over tea is a different thread |

Ok sorry I jumped the gun, easily done when the conversation is through a keyboard.
This place isnt the 'be all' but I reckon if I had a Mrs who was on here with me as a couple, fab would enter the 'real' world due to the interesting and sometimes bonkers opinions people give. |
