There is a watning for heavy rain thruout UK

Friends on nearby Canvey Island have been posting pictures on Facebook of flooded roads.
My garage is currently under about an inch of water - always happens in heavy rain. My driveway slopes upwards from the house to the road and the drain that is there is somewhat silted up and so it can not shift the water away quickly enough.
Think I need to get some marigolds on and see if I can clear it out some.
