It's a cold miserable day out there and I'm just walking the dog....

Looking forward to a big bowl of soup when I get in to warm myself up

So is life a minestrone ? Or do I go for a cock a leekie ?

my dad used to work for metal box and made machines for heinz - used to go to the staff shop there and bring back tins (all unlabelled)- took him a few trips there before they gave him a list with the codes stamped on the top to tell us what was in the things - we became expert and shaking and guessing

Homemade soup on a cold day can't beat it

Even better tonight homemade neck of beef stew made last night so plenty of time for all those juices to marinate warm up for tonight's tea with crusty bread
