Retire

just watched legend Art Garfunkel on palladium and I think his voice is done. Which other legends do people think now need to retire due to being past their best now.

Smokie Robinson. He's so strange looking now. Plus the audience sing more of the song than him.

Black&White Utopia

Always though Frank Sinatra should have stopped long before he had to change his song keys to fit his well known songs, cos his voice aged too ... Can't think if any one eles off hand .

I saw Art Garfunkel live about ten years ago and I thought then...ooops. Tonight was just sad....it must be so hard to give up doing what you love but the time always comes....

"past their best" is a bit harsh, most people would have given up two thirds of their careers ago.

arguably, many would never have started.

It wasn't just me then.

I found it quite sad really bless him.

He looked like he was lost on stage, and yes his voice has was not what it used to be.

Still a brilliant and talented singer, but in his day.

fuyck the old timers that are past their sell by dates...alot of our recent stars have been past it for ages now.

noel gallagher, robbie williams to name but a few...however some may lead you to believe they will be in the limelight forever.

And if they dont carry on their careers,a few will die via drug overdoses etc etc

And to be honest, most of them are just rehash's of other stars..mere emulations.

And..thats it.

Past their best, perhaps.

Near immortal, definitely.

It will be a long time coming, the day that no one remembers the genius of Smokey, Paul & Art or Aretha...

It Is sad one of my

Greatest artists Aretha Franklin but they

Know all artists that times will change

In the voice box sooner or later but for

Any great performer It must be hard to

Step down, they may have or are loseing

Their voice but they probabily still feel

Inside like when they were 30 or more.
