I have received a message saying my yearly subscription of £0.69 is due. Then it gives to payment options.By google wallet, which I understand isnt avaliable in this country and the other is by URL which looks just like an e mail.

So someone clue me in please. Is it all kosher and how do you pay by URL ?

I havent paid for my renewal so alas now dont use whats app.

as far as I am aware you can purchase it through the google play store.

I dont like entering my financial details into google play store or itunes so if I want to purchase something I normally buy a gift card from the supermarket and credit the account like that.

You can use the Google wallet I believe.

It's a bit of a scam. I've never paid anything to use it and despite reminders, it still works.

Never use a link you are sent to pay with.

If you do need to pay:

If on android log into your google account and pay via the play store on your device.

If apple go to the App Store and do same thing.

In on apple and only paid once for whatsapp, I believe it was a one off payment.

Check by going into whatsapp-settings-account-payment info and see what it says

well bugger me backwards. Whats app wouldnt work before. It was asking for payment.

I've been using whatsapp for years and have only ever paid once for the app.
