I listened to an inter_iew he gave on Radio 6 about his decision and wish to be known as Stephanie going forwards.
For anyone who doesn't know he was part of the breakfast team on Capital fm in Yorkshire and came off the air very suddenly in June for reasons unknown at the time.
The inter_iew was very moving, I've never felt the urge so strongly to 'root' for someone I don't know personally but it must've taken a huge amount of guts to 'come out' so publicly. The amount of public support for his decision must have been over whelming for him and is heart warming when people these days are so quick to stick the knife in over people's life choices! |
