Some of the forumites will remember I have a friend who has a brain tumour, and were supportive and there for me whilst I took him for treatment (gamma knife surgery) in Sheffield in Jan 2012, we had the annual checkup last week and I'm really pleased to announce it has continued to shrink, it has shrunk by a third in total since the zapping and he doesn't need to go back for monitoring for a further two years - I can't knock the NHS for the care we got either. For those of you suffering and in dark places - hang in there - sometimes miracles do happen xx |

Aww, I'm not aware of the origins of your story but that's fantastic news for your friend and their family. Fingers crossed for even more success in the coming months.
The NHS does come in for a lot of stick and is struggling under various maladies of its own but by heck it 'can' do some incredible things now. |
