I understand people who take a dislike to smoking, and on this site who won't meet smokers. That all makes complete sense.
But one thing I'll never understand is people who have a problem with smokers themselves using phrases like "dirty smoker". I have come across people like this in the past when I use to smoke cigarettes before quitting and was just wondering if anyone else has?Or if it's just something that people around my age say haha |

You don't hear the phrase "dirty smoker" often these days or I don't but when I did it was often in reference to tar stained yellow rooms bad teeth and yellow fingers. In reality you will get some clean smokers though in general smokers do spit and cough more than the non smokers. |

They say using a sauna or steam room helps. It's gets the toxins out the system quicker. |

Thanks love sauna so will try that, I've blow into machine and lung are back to normal. Didn't think I smell like a ashtray now smelling other smokers omg I'm ashamed walking round smelling like that. |

Lungs back to normal in 39 days? how long did you smoke for, like a week??

If i am not interested in a meet with somebody wanting a meet, and they are a non-smoker who won`t meet smokers according to their profile, i just tell them i don`t do non-smokers. Revenge is sweet! |

Smoke for 27 years a packet a day, the nurse at smoking clinic told me that it takes 30 days for yr lungs to go back to normal and 9 hours to get the crap out of the lung which the machine shows you when u blow into it. So only going on wit a nurse says I guess she knows her job lol |

Good on you guys that gave up, wish I had your will power on other things.
I was told by an ex smoker that when you give up, drink water with lemon in it. It help clear the crap out of your system.
I think know the dirty smoker does refer to the stereo typed smoker, yellow fingers, stained teeth and nicotine stained house. |

The machine shows the carbon monoxide level in your blood, that falls very rapidly. It takes years for lungs to be normalised, as much as they can be. |
