Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

I was on a bus coming home from work and saw I squirrel crossing the A10 at a traffic light. The squirrel appeared to have waited until the green man came up.

I do love animated films but I immediately thought the squirrel must be on a mission and was heading back to HQ to report back to the gang.

Does this happen to you?

Just my imagination.

I take it you don't see things as cartoons then?

That squirrel would love you - you're nuts.

I like your thinking!

Funny how the majority of human beings somehow assume that all other animal life on this planet are dumb and don't understand the human world.

I on the other hand, disagree.

Look at the squirrels in St James's Park and other public spaces for example. They've come to understand that people bring food - and so they're not so wary of us.

Makes perfect sense to me that a Squirrel may well have observed what happens at a pedestrian crossing and adapted to use it.

Wish I'd seen this for myself though. Would have been brilliant!

Fox reversed over a mouse yesterday!

It didn't jump up 'Jerry' style and scratch an over exaggerated lump on it's head whilst tweety birds and stars circled.

It just died a horrible death.

So no.

Well, foxes do kill mice when they're a bit peckish. An interesting technique though I grant you

I did once run over a pigeon on Tulse Hill. It was a very long time ago.

You would have loved the dogs I saw near Regent's Park. There was a woman holding the lead of one medium sized dog and that dog was holding the lead of a little toy sized dog. I really wanted the little one to be holding lead and walking its own pet.

Of course!

I thought it might have just foiled a cat burglar.

No! I'm still trying to catch the actual mouse that left the imprint. I've left around a thousand mouse traps all over the flat. So hopefully I have him cornered

You need an ACME trap. They always work.
