I like technology and lots of things have come out that make life much easier. But I like reading books, the old paper or hard backs.
I still prefer soap to shower gel as well. (But not on a rope)
Are you still hanging on to anything from the past? |

I too, still prefer a paper book to a Kindle by a country mile.
I will probably sound mad, I still do not have a Sat Nav. I have been travelling in convoy with friends who over rule the road signs, maps and common sense, listening to the Sat Nav. One nearly drove through a fjord! So I have yet to be persuaded to have one!

"I like to play Solitaire with a pack of cards and not on my phone "
Oh me too, it is much better with real cards.
Monopoly is better with real fake money (slight paradox there) than the electronic version. |

"I'm a book in the bath and soap woman too. I also like to put a VHS tape in my old television with inbuilt video cassette player "
I remember the top loading videos. But betamax were the real old school ones. |

"Would not be without ma Oxford English Dictionary and a good Atlas
Can live without an abacus & slide rule though "
I always use my dictionary. People at work laugh at me but I'd be list without it. |

I prefer soap still, to shower gel.
Even though I have been bought an e reader, I still like a nice book in my hand.
I ride a road bike, with the shifters still on the down tube instead of the brake levers and an inch headset. |

My in laws had a Betamax player. I'm trying to remember which films we watched on it. That must have been early 80s |

I'm engineer and often have to design things and I still prefer paper, compass and rulers.
I can use CAD, indeed always transfer what I've drawn onto it, I can't seem to get any inspiration looking at a computer screen. |

"Researching in a library and not on google"
I've always loved a library. The smell and quiet reminds me of being a child. We would spend an afternoon picking out our books for the fortnight;I'd be so excited on the way home thinking about which to read first |

Me too but I have a fantasy about taking a member of staff in the reference library |

I like real paper books too and like to use maps. And natural fabrics are great - I love cotton and similar basics and don't 'love' artificial fabrics.
Real letters win over email etc too. I had a penfriend for years so have been a prolific writer.
I'm sticking with color tv over black and white though. |

"I think kids should not be allowed calculators, the internet in exams.
They should use their brain properly and use a book.
Her"
They have part of their exams without calculators. The part with calculators isn't about their ability to work out sums but for comprehending the question and using the correct method to work out a problem |
