Even more discount off the already reduced price and I don't have to give my money to Mike Ashley. I love it

The London outlet at Wembley, next to the stadium. Had a decent lunch there too

Outlets are those kinda places when you can go sometimes and get loads of bargains and then the next time, bugger all.

The bit that gets me is the queue to get into Ralph Lauren : people queuing to spend £80 on a shirt

Bicester is the place for designer gear. If I need something for a special occasion, that's where I head for. I use Wembley now that it is open over Portsmouth. Ashford is ok and Cheshire oaks is massive

Particularly daft as your average TK Maxx is awash with Ralph's stuff!

I go Ashford quite often. Get my lads shoes from the clarkes outlet there. £15 instead of nearly £40 at the proper clarkes shop. And his high tops from the Nile outlet £20 instead of £40!

Clarks wasn't busy either, it pays to get there early though.

The market has had to move though but since it is now full of snide stuff and general crap, it won't be missed

We go to Bicester village a couple of times a year. Always go just before it opens and then it's not busy. I haven't paid full price for clobber for years.

"Not tried Braintree yet"

Braintree is ok , bit of a pig to get to but as with all other outlets sometimes you will leave with nothing.

Central

There was a fantastic tv expose of outlets last year. Channel 4 I think.

Much of the stuff is only made for outlet stores with inferior standards. savings are thus made up as the same goods were not sold at the inflated prices.

I've bought sometimes but find the availability of good stuff and bargains hit and miss.

This is indeed my impression. Most of the stuff isn't even that cheaper. Although there is reptile shop at my local one so I go their to tickle snakes.

Do they laugh?

I wouldn't make a trip to an outlet place but if I see one then I will have a look around.

Some of the gear on sale is overrun stock or slow moving lines. Some stock like the coat purchased yesterday was probably an item returned for being the wrong size. Some stores (notably Ben Sherman) have ranges that are only sold in the outlets. They needed to be treated on a WIGIG basis. Stock moves quickly and when it's gone it's gone.
