Besides if it doesn't spread you can taste it

no, you have to put a load on and then go off and do something else, come back and spread it. I LOVE Lurpack, a fresh baked cheese scone still slightly warm and inches of Lurpack.....yum |

block butter here always out of the fridge in a covered butter dish - is softer than lurpak spreadable most of the time - anchor spreadable is much better |
