You want one either metal or silicon, tight enough to restrict blood flow. Also wants to be broad enough band so that it doesn't bite into to skin.
Try 1.75 inch circumference, at least 1/4 inch wide.
...you were talking cock rings, weren't you? |

"Perhaps ask your fiancee what she thinks? "
That spoils the moment I think. If I was ever proposed to I'd like the man to choose my ring and not be expecting it |

Exactly that. I'd like the man to choose it....without input from a load of random swingers. Its a very personal thing. |

I'd hate anyone to choose any kind of jewellery for me. And if it cost more than £100 he'd have to take it back as I'd never wear it. |

I like the thought someone has put into a gift. It makes a more special but I must admit I've only had one man buy me jewellery |

"Good evening everyone, any ideas, tips and help in choosing the perfect engagement ring??"
Buy the diamond first rather than the whole ring the you can if u want design your own ring with a good jeweller to set it.
With the diamond it's it always about how much it sparkles hehe check what they say the 4 c's I can't remember them all but it goes along line of carat clarity etc
Cheaper in terms of quality products and in long run a better and more meaningful design from you to your loved one Nd better quality |

It doesn't have to be diamond. I like opal and it's my birth stone |

We got engaged this year and I put about 2 months of planning and searching into the ring and how to propose.
I went for a custom made ring in the end as you can get exactly what you want. I got a half carat princess cut E grade diamond cast in platinum . I wouldn't worry too much about clarity as you can only tell under 10x magnification. Colour and cut are the most important
Choose the metal you want and away you go
Avoid chain jewellers from my experience their pieces aren't as good quality as independent shops |

If you can get her to go for it one of them that goes through the nose is your best choice then you can take control and with luck have your dinner on the table when you get in. |

If a man took the trouble to find out my birthstone and bought me one as an engagement ring I'd be bursting with happiness. Don't be thinking opal is cheap either |

My fiancé proposed to me with a haribo ring, it was sweet funny and romantic.
We went shopping together and told the jeweller what stone and metal we wanted. We chose an amethyst set in a cluster of diamonds in white gold. |
