In the space of twenty minutes I tried to open the front door to my flat with the smart key for my car, then went to take a load of washing out of the machine and hadn't turned it on.
Help!
Please tell me this absentmindedness is rife among you and make me feel better. |

Sometimes I forget to lock my front door when I leave the house or worse still on occasions after a nite out I've left the key in the front door on the outside!! lol
Sometimes I forget to buy milk for breakfast next day, drives me mad when I need a cup of tea!! |

It's because our brains are sponges and over time we have absorbed so much information that some of it leaks out. It seems the first to go is the ability to use everyday objects for the purpose they are meant. Then comes face recognition; the person you have known since childhood suddenly becomes thingummy bob, down the road, you know him,he fell off our gate and broke his arm. Next is the forgetting where you put everything or putting things in inappropriate places, like the sugar in the kettle or car keys in the fridge. I'm looking forward to the days I can pretend I'm deaf when I don't want to talk to someone |

"A birthday and two weeks... that's when it starts.
I tried to plug my charger into my paperback book a couple of weeks ago.
"
Now I'm feeling better. Hark, is that a cuckoo out of season I hear? |

I regularly check my handbag when out and find the tv remote there.....my list of "senior moments" is exhaustive. It is however, always exciting to look in the tumble dryer and see what I've stashed there..... |
