So it seems it isn't advisable to watch the videos of people being beheaded...now for me, I can't get my head around anyone wanting to.
Would you watch it? and if so why?
Another person on the thread said the Government shouldn't dictate anyway, what do you think? |

Unfortunately I have seen the result of a brutal murder first hand, it's not something you want in your head, it etches itself inside your eyes, close your eyes and you can see him |

"Hell no I don't want to watch another human being murdered. I don't have that morbid curiosity. I would never get the image out of my head. "
As for the government dictating...why would you want to watch a video of someone being beheaded I think it lacks respect for all those involved such as the family and him...while people don't know him doesn't mean you can't have respect for the man and not watch the video. I feel for those that have to watch the video such as servility services it must be horrendous for them to watch video after video. |

These people know that humans can't resist. Yes . . It should be ignored. . And i've never seen any footage of anything . But now the world is a click of a mouse away. . There will always be an audience . Lets give as much press publicily to Imams voicing the peace that true Muslims live their lives by . Not these pretenders that use the muslim badge as a cover for their lust for power and domination . |

As for the government - fortunately for us we still how freedom to think and say what we want as long as we are not inciting violence etc. |

The video of a coward with a knife standing behind a hero who has his hands tied, is of no interest to me, watching it gives the coward the audience he seeks.
Never forgetting the hero, his accomplishments in life and his selfless efforts to make good in this world is the answer......

Any right minded person would never want to watch such an appalling thing, as both you and I agreed.
That said, is it not dangerous for Governments to dictate what people should watch, think, feel etc? I daresay we, on fab, could be guilty of illegal acts (seen as adultery, which can be a capital offence) in right wing, immoderate regimes? So, isn't the government dictating what can and can't be _iewed not the thin end of the wedge?
You and I won't _iew such a video because it is abhorrent. It is, however, to my mind, the only role of the Government to take action against those involved in making such a video, as well as the murderers |

The Lee Rigby video should never have been shown as openly as it was.
They (sky, to begin with) seemed to revel in the 'exclusive footage' they had.
Id like ISIS to go away, we all would but it isn't 'just' going to happen.
I wouldn't show their glorified Pirate looking flag either. The less we see of them the better.
Im a hypocrit - I have no problems with the black and white videos showing bombs hitting them, even when its just figures on a mountain being taken out one by one. |

Why would anyone want to watch such a viscous and in humane act that displays such callous disregard for a decent human life.
Worldwide Muslim communities have condemned this act, but now need to support this condemnation with positive action that will expose the extremists that lurk and thrive within their communities and eradicate this evil. |

Watching it gives it life and IS the thrill that they have affected another person.
They are doing this for publicity and we are giving them that.
Under Theresa May's plans to shut down all free speech not government approved you may find that watching it may be deemed punishable with imprisonment in case it turns you. |

I wonder if anyone that has said no we shouldn't watch that, but then watches some horror movie later tonight?
I think you should be able to watch the true bad stuff that happens in this world then no one would be happy that our prime minister has led our troops into another war where i promose you innocent people will die, we all want nice thoughts but unfortunately some very bad things happen in this world and especially at the hands of evil people or bullets or bombs
We are incredibly protected from such terrible sights in the uk but that just means we are sheep and have our thoughts controlled by the government
Yes it's horrific but I certainly do not get pleasure from seeing bad stuff i just feel we need to know the truth with the eyes
I've not seen that btw but I've seen others men women children children blown apart after bombs drop on people beheadings shooting
That was whilst I lived abroad and it would be shown on the news on telly
I have CCTV for slaughterhouses on fb everyone I know couldn't face what actually happens to animals to reach our plates all it is is the truth at the end of the day, but people choose to keep in that bubble

People seem so intent on making us see such horrible things as if we don't have the capacity or ability to comprehend how horrificthey are! A friend of mine had an image of a man being burnt alive on his Facebook which I happened to see as I was tucking into my dinner!
I am not naive, i know these things are happening, I can visualise the grotesque nature of how this man died. I do not need to have images of a mans death thrust in my face on the news or social media. If i choose to look at imageslike this I know where to look, that should be my choice.
The comparisons between watching this and a horror movie are ridiculous. Horror films are staged. You know they are fake. You are not watching the barbaric slaughtering of an innocent life.
Th comparisons of abattoir slaughters and this video are perhaps more on a parr although I'd argue that the death of that animal serves a purpose in that it feeds those of us who choose to eat meat. Yes people should be prepared to understand where theor food comes from, it's a sad fact that some children these days do not know where theor food comes from. |

Those 5 mins have gone now but if you dont mind I will continue to show you why I think your thoughts are wrong.
ISIS video's are factual, it actually happened.
Horror Movies arn't factual and are fictional, they are for entertainment purposes.
I usually dont mind what people post as thankfully thats opinions. I should be saying 'I dont want you to delete it' but I can't.
I also re-read another paragraph, I do eat meat, because i want to be as healthy as I can and I believe I will be healthier if I do.
I don't watch video's of animal slaughter and yes animal deaths occur on nature programmes but thats nature, Im not comfy with it though. |

The thought turns my stomach. I too do not understand why anyone would want to watch such barbarity - but many do. Seems though we are not so far distant from the Romans, and because of that we give an audience and so perpetuate the posting of such videos on the net. For without an audience these people would not feel the need to share their barbarity. |
