Poor thing :(

Yesterday my daughter (7) was walking home from the park with me, went over on her ankle. When I turned to look at her, her foot was sideways at a 90 degree angle to her leg.

She's now sleeping having been in theatre to have her leg fitted with an external fixator.

I just cannot get over the damage caused ( tibia and fibula broken) by simply going over on her ankle.

Omg thats awful!!

I have simply gone over on my ankle and had severe tendon damage and bleeding under the skin because of it so I know some of her pain..

A new cuddly teddy, books or dvds etc to make her smile and keep her entertained are in order x

Ouch, that sounds very painful, hope she recovers quickly.

Reminds me of when I rolled on my ankle once walking home after a few drinks. Thought it hurt but walked home still, cycle to work the following day and by lunchtime had a club foot. Off to A and E and it turned out I'd broken my 5th metatarsal, oops.

That's awful, poor little mite and must have been a shock for you, plus nothing worse than waiting whilst she was in theatre. I hope she recovers soon, lots of Mummy hugs are the best medecine.

Oh shame, wishing her a speedy recovery - they always do recover quick at that age!
