Bury St Edmunds

I know this needs to be advertised but the child abuse on that is on at the moment upsets me to the point of crying and leaving the room or turning it off

THe fact that everybody is saying that they hate these ads proves that the ad men have go it right... You are all talking about it therefore they have done their job correctly...Even if Barry Scott is the most annoying name in the world...

Kind of correct, they arn't talking about them in other threads, just one about adverts.

What do they say along the lines of any publicity is good publicity - my minds blank?

Isn't the point of advertisements to showcase your product and build and strengthen brand loyalty?

Every ad that annoys me automatically makes the product or service they offer useless to me, as I don't wanna be part of their annoying community. Maybe that's just me though.

Hm..

Basically if I heard the "We buy any car" theme tune, i'd quietly sit in a corner with my hands around my ears, rocking back and forth screaming "MAKE IT STOP! OH GOD NO! NOT AGAIN!!!!!"..

Come to think of it, perhaps I still do : /

Please don't play it. Preserve my sanity ; )

All adverts do my head in, so I flick through channels until I find something without an advert, then forget what I was watching and miss the end of the programme, stupid adverts

Leaving aside all the loathsome comparison site, insurance and charity ads, those Life Skills ads currently top my list.

same here. Even if something is on live tv i want to watch i wait until it is 25 mins in so i can fastforward through the ads

All of them, everyone of them, and there seems to be more and more of them.

Most half hour programmes now only run for about 20 minutes, meaning 10 minutes of bloody adverts, that's 20 minutes an hour,24 hours a day

8 hours of adverts every bloody day,and that's just one commercial channel

I'm pretty sure that no advert has made me want to buy anything that I would not have gone looking for in my own. But the wonga, quick quid, payday loans are the ones that really get on my tits they should be banned as far as I am concerned all loan sharks the lot of them

That's a fair point, Sky or Virgin allow you to pause live TV - Get a cup of tea or coffee... Take a leak, come back three minutes later, And just run it forward. ; )
