Away with the fairies (Liverpool to you)

As of 01/10/14 you no longer need to display your tax disc in your car. It's all computerised so the police know if you have valid tax using their ANPR. The DVLA no longer issue paper tax discs so legally it is not necessary to display anymore

Oh cool I had not heard!! I don't have to pay road tax on mine anyway, so will get rid of the meaningless patch.

You should see the tax stuff you need to do on a time-machine, hours of paperwork for the Temporal Security League every month, then there is the Chrono-insurance and break-down cover (glitter related faults now have a 10'000 Imperial Credit excess!!) not to mention servicing and MOT

Taxed our car last month, didn't bother to put it in the car though so being a month early we were a month ahead of the law. Have not put a tax disk on any of my bikes for 10 years or so, since the police stopped checking them. Bike tax disk holders just spoiled the look

We were advised by DVLA to keep it in til 18th as thats when they are merging those who have tax left and those who have taxed under new system!
