I have a ps4 and love it. Xbox one isn't as powerful but you'd be hard pressed to notice the difference. Although I think I made the right choice. Depends which one your mates have at the end of the day |

I'm in the same mind at the mo. I'm liking to upgrade to a ps4, but I'm not ready to give up my ps3 yet. Specially when borderlands pre sequel comes out in 2 weeks |

I've got a ps3 too and a psvita. If you wish to go online with the ps4 you now need to pay. By you get "free" games every month. Which includes the ps3 and psvita so it's worth keeping them |

How much is online play ?
That was a key selling point of the playstation, the online was free
If they are going to charge I'm gonna expect a better quality of online play rather than the free cack service I had with PES when I used to go online |

Xbox have always charged btw. The ps4 servers do seem more reliable and faster. I pay every 3 months £11.99. Think it's £39.99 for a year. You can pay monthly which I think is about £6. |

yep it is but you get loads back, it's such a good deal it untrue,am still playing on my ps3 all the time and I bet there's a lot of us that could be added to play with |

I have both a ps4 and x1.
Since the last x1 update. I now have a 3 terabyte hd.
I prefer the x1. Its seems more social online imo.
The only difference apart from cos i have found. Is the start up times from cold boot. Ps4 is quicker.
If you are a normal gamer then i would suggest x1 without kinect for 329£. |

May sound silly, but I was going to buy a new PC anyways.
So rather than buy either console, I spent over £ 2000 on a new PC. Complete custom build.
Its actually worked out faster and more useful than any console - plus 5.1 surround, massive screen... Everything.
that's my choice for sure! |

You can connect an Xbox controller to PC anyway and the game range is much larger - that's why I have the preference :P |

I'm having the same dilemma. Want FIFA 15 but no point getting it on the PS3 as it will be wank.

Same here, i had the 1st XBOX instead of a ps2, then i chose the 360 instead of the Ps3. I've still got my 360 but when i do upgrade i'll probably go for the xbox one instead of ps4. I like the feel of the xbox controller better than the playstation, and some xbox exclusive games i could not do without such as the Halo series and Gears of War not available on playstation. |

I have a ps4 and just over 2 years ps+ left. The servers are better but if you want pes then a certain choice is ps4. The quality shines through even with a lack of media server and youtube app |

im gonna go for the PS4 because I only use consoles for gaming and the PS4 is getting an exclusive i really wanna play
plus the PS4 is more optimized to next gen gaming. Currently anyway |

I bought a PS4. The PS4 is technically the better console, much higher spec than the Xbox. The Xbox uses slower GDDR3 RAM and has fewer graphics cores than the PS4. Playstation has 1.84 TFLOPS, Xbox has 1.31 TFLOPS, so the PS4 is 40% more powerful. I also dislike the xbox for its boxy styling, and external power brick. |

The tech specs really aren't that much different, not noticeably abreast Still love my ps4 though. Still think it boils down to what your mates use and the killer game exclusives you prefer |

Not really. Just because my mate's got a One doesn't mean I have/want to.
I've played on a ps4 and loved the controller. I've not played on a One yet.
As for specs, I don't give two shits about graphics. I just want to play games. And not something that's a bloody HD remake or a sequel of a cash cow (I'm looking at you cod)
I'll wait another year to see if any decent games come out.
Meanwhile I'll be waiting for The Evil Within and Alien Isolation to come out. |
