since son going to live abroad and us totally gutting his room of old stuff about a week ago i have gone a bit mad - almost every drawer/box/cupboard in the house has been emptied and had much stuff extracted and binned - a bit like decorating one room and the rest looks bad in comparison - the shed got it yesterday - how much rubbish ive kept for years surprised me - trip to the tip tomorrow - |

It's a slippery slope isn't it? We do the same, decide on one room and do a complete clean and empty it of junk, feel amazing and think how well we have done then leave the room and realise the rest of the house is looking a little cluttered now |

I think it's natural to keep checking how good everything looks. Kind of like a pat on the back and it's deserved. You worked hard so you should feel good about the results |
