I have always been a Gillete razor person, but went to buy replacement blades the other day and was horrified that it was going to cost me £21 for 8..

I have decided that i am no longer prepared to pay that so that Gillete can keep giving my hard earned cash to Roger federer et al..

I have therefore switched to wilkinson sword Hydro blades and i have to say i think they are better than Gillete and are considerably less money....

Does any one else think that Gillete are starting to take the piss with their prices.....

I use Tesco or Asda's own razor now and buy those blades. Much cheaper and does the same job....

I use King of Shaves razors and gel. It's not the cheapest but after many years slashing myself to shreds it's the one I can get on with.

Only drawback is the blades are bloody hard to find in shops so I now order them online.

This comes as no surprise as I use King of Shaves too! It's nice to know something's remain constant despite different dimensions, time line rifts etc.

Or you could use a straight razor? Gives a much better finish and the blades are cheap and cheerful. They also last me ages.

I agree. I have used expensive razors but find a Bic sensitive does a much better job. And at a much cheaper price.

Somewhere in North Norfolk

I have an epilator and no longer buy razors or razor blades at all.

It's worked out soooo much cheaper and gives better results.

Not much good for men's facial fuzz though.

I tried an epilator and

It really hurt and left my skin red and bumpy.

"Gillette say the reason they're so dear is 'cos so many of them get nicked."

Apparently razors and blades are the most commonly shoplifted item.

But does it only happen to Gillette or does it happen to all

The reason so many of them probably get nicked i imagine, is because of the price of them. And all supermarkets put them in those security boxes now...

Have always used Wilkinson blades but at £9 for 4 blades I am beginning to think everyone has jumped on the profiteering band wagon these days.

I hear Gillete can make a blade that never needs replacing. They just make most of their profit from replaceable blades.

Me, I prefer a Samurai Sword, lubricated with the sweat of a Geisha's thighs...

They are one of the top items to get pinched so my store keeps them in secure boxes. Pregnancy testing kits got pinched regularly too!!!
