No, not things falling from space, or nuclear missiles.
The biggest danager are... Inanimate Objects. You know that type I mean...
The "it was working a second ago" also the "where did that come from". Not to forget the "Where the fuck has it gone now" and the things that leap to their death onto the floor.

the greatest threat is seeing the world as an inanimate object!-It'll endure what we throw at it in the grand scheme of things..but we could be ruining our own species environment in the near future(the next few hundred years).I'd hate to think our great great grandchildren could be suffering for our ignorance and greed. |

wonder if the penny will drop and we as a species will realise that killing each other and the planet we depend on isn't the best use of our 'talents'.. |

Medicine is a threat to mankind in two main ways, through Evolution & Population.
Looking at the long term perspective it is slowly removing the survival of the fittest part of the evolutionary process from mankinds evolution.
Add to that the greater life expectancy medicine brings and then factor in the higher percentage of birth that would of been unsuccessful without intervention. Both of which result in the steady rise of the earths population.
Until we have the ability for mass migration from our enclosed ecosphere then population increases will eventually reach a tipping point of population vrs resources and it may very well end with soylent green.

It may be at least 50 years too late to reverse the damage done, The food chain has already been irreparably damaged, Crops are still being mutated to get a higher yield while Farmers are being paid enormous amounts by the Black Hole that is the EU, Livestock is being fed genetically engineered feed.
And lets not forget those of us who use the internet (100% of this site). Television programmes.
Those of us that insist on changing makeup, smell nice, smooth, clean shaven, Artificial Lubrication.
Virtually the whole of the western world is guilty so who is going to give up 10%
of the above to ensure My great Grandchildrens future

what about those big capitalist companies, spewing out pollution etc etc...
not religious myself..but crimes against humanity and nature, are more from the white collar world in my opinion.Lots cover up their mistakes..or blindly just ignore them..knowing the damage they will cause in many years to come... |
