salad cream or mayonnaise?

i love mayonnaise and my hubby loves salad cream i say that mayo is the best and my hubby says salad cream is the best. so we wanted to know of you lot out there what do you prefer? what is the most popular of the two.

Mayo for me, out of those two, but there are other dressing out there that are equally if not better than those two, my preference is honey mustard, will put that on almost anything.

I don't think I could decide between the two of them. I really enjoy them both.

I especially enjoy salad cream on a beef/cornbeef and red onion sandwich. And sometime with my chips.

And I love Mayo on a chicken and salad sandwich or with chips.

I won't go into detail, but I used to have mayo with almost everything. If you knew the sort of stuff I used to eat. It would probably make you sick. Lol.

Mayo for me, my mother-in-law put me right off salad cream many years ago, she kept hers for months, not even in the 'fridge... she gave me some and it was disgusting.... think she instigated my divorce!!!

There are some dishes that mayo suits best and salad cream would ruin completely, and vice versa, so I don't see it as a choice between the two, more of which is best suited for the food accompanying it.

Salad cream for salads obviously, but mayo on chips/burgers etc.
